Upper Cervical Chiropractors rely on two diagnostics technologies  for determining when and where a correction will be made.  Radiographs (X-rays) of the cervical spine determine which of the first two vertebrae will be corrected (the where) and the thermal digital infrared scan determines “the when” a correction will be made.  This scan demonstrates the temperature difference from one side of the neck to the other producing a graph readout that is unique for every individual just as a finger print.

After an upper cervical correction, another scan is done to demonstrate how the neurological interference has been eliminated.  Careful monitoring of the graph produced by the scan is of major importance to upper cervical chiropractors because the correction is only done when the pattern or fingerprint returns.

The objective is not to receive a correction every appointment but for the body to maintain the correction allowing for optimal brain body communication.

The two picture frames above show that this person has a normal scan and no need for adjustment as a problem is not evident.

The two to the left show that an adjustment is necessary.
